AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER
You may experience redness, swelling, or tenderness, especially around the nose and cheeks. Freckles will appear darker and more prominent for the first 3–5 days. This is normal. They will lighten as they heal.
Day 1: Initial Healing
Gently wash your face the night of your procedure using a fragrance-free, gentle cleanser (e.g., Cetaphil or CeraVe).
Use only your fingertips and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
If fluid builds up, gently blot with a clean tissue.
Avoid touching the face unless you’re cleansing with clean hands.
Days 2–7: Gentle Care
Cleanse twice daily (AM & PM) using a fragrance-free, gentle cleanser.
Use fingertips only, cleanse gently, and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a rice-grain-sized amount of healing ointment (Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, or other aftercare balm) once or twice a day.
Do not over-apply. Less is more.
Expect flaking, fading, and possible itchiness—all normal.
Healing Timeline for Cosmetic Freckles
Surface Healing takes about 7-10 Days
Freckles may appear darker before they flake and soften
Pigment settling happens during weeks 2-3. Color may soften further
Full healing is achieved at about 4-6 weeks, when freckles show their true healed look.
Always follow aftercare instructions closely for the best healed results.
